Explosions Rock Crimea, Emergency Declared in Sevastopol

All public statements from Putin have been canceled, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, as reported by rosZMI.

"Putin does not intend to make a special statement regarding the terrorist attacks in Sevastopol and Dagestan," Peskov stated.

On Sunday evening, June 23, powerful explosions were heard in several cities in occupied Crimea. Russians reported a suspected missile attack.

Approximately eight explosions were heard in Zaozerny, Yevpatoria, and Donuzlav. Locals reported a large fire in Yevpatoria following the explosions. According to the Telegram channel "Crimea Wind," there may have been an explosion in the village of Vityne, Saksky district, with ambulances dispatched to the scene. Social media users shared images of the fire.

Casualties Rise in Sevastopol and Dagestan Amid Tensions

In Sevastopol today, June 24, a regional state of emergency was declared following the attack by the Armed Forces.

The decree was signed by the so-called governor of the region, Mykhailo Razvozhaev. According to the latest reports from rosZMI, the total number of casualties during the Armed Forces' attack in Sevastopol has risen to 153 people, with four confirmed deaths.

Additionally, over 15 Russian police officers were reported killed after a series of attacks in Makhachkala and Derbent, Dagestan, on June 23. Six militants were reportedly killed during the "counter-terrorism" operation in Dagestan.

Putin's sudden disappearance from public view amid the attacks in Dagestan and Crimea has sparked panic and embarrassment within the Kremlin.
