Explosions Reported During Russian Shelling of Ukrainian Border Areas

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched 95 attacks on border regions in Ukraine.

Russian forces carried out 95 shellings across the border regions of Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv Oblasts within the past 24 hours, resulting in a total of 263 explosions.

The attacks involved various types of weaponry, as reported by the press service of the operational command "North" on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

Attacks on Chernihiv Oblast

Several villages in the Chernihiv region, including Liskivshchyna, Progress, Mykolaivka, Galaganivka, Khotiivka, Semenivka, Klyusy, Gremyach, and Krasny Khutir, came under heavy fire.

The Russian army used barrel artillery, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), mortars, FPV drones, anti-aircraft missile defense systems, and UAVs in these attacks.

In the Sumy region, the towns of Riverka, Pavlivka, Mezenivka, Bytytsia, and several others were hit by Russian fire. The shelling involved anti-aircraft guns, mortars, drones, and artillery.

Among the hardest-hit towns were Volodymyrivka, Iskryskivshchyna, and Pokrovka, where multiple explosions caused damage.

In Kharkiv Oblast’s Bogoduhiv district, the settlements of Timofiivka, Bratenytsia, and Vidrodenivske experienced 10 explosions due to mortar and drone strikes.

Casualties and Damage

The operational command "North" confirmed that one civilian was injured in the attacks, and a hospital and a commercial establishment were also damaged.

Information regarding further destruction or casualties among the local population is still being clarified.

Earlier reports noted that during the night and morning of September 11, Russian forces shelled border communities in Sumy Oblast eight times, with 23 explosions recorded.
