President Vladimir Putin has announced the creation of a new federal project, "Russia in the World," aimed at fostering international youth cooperation and promoting traditional Russian values globally.
Enhance Russias Cultural Presence
The directive follows a joint session of the State Council and the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects in May, with the details published on the Kremlin's website, according to Tass.
The "Russia in the World" initiative includes several key components designed to enhance Russia's cultural and scientific presence on the international stage.
Among the primary objectives are the organization of Olympiads and competitions to attract foreign participants, an increase in the volume of collaborative scientific research, and the expansion of scientific internship programs for Russian and foreign students, postgraduate students, scientists, and specialists.
Additionally, the project will encompass the organization of international festivals, including the World Youth Festival. These events are intended to showcase Russia's rich cultural heritage and traditional values while fostering global youth collaboration.
The 'Russia in the World' Project
A significant aspect of the project is the preservation of the legacy of the World Youth Festival, which took place in Sirius in March 2024. This festival was a pivotal event for international youth engagement and cultural exchange, and the new project aims to build on its success.
The Russian government and the State Council Commission have been tasked with reporting on the progress of the "Russia in the World" project by September 1. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to extend Russia's influence and cultural outreach, ensuring that Russian traditions and values are recognized and appreciated worldwide.
President Putin's directive also includes specific measures to support domestic sectors, such as providing Russian-made tablets to teachers and doctors and extending the mechanism for allocating fuel excise duties to the budget. These actions demonstrate a comprehensive approach to strengthening Russia's internal and external policy frameworks.
