A drone strike has ignited fuel reservoirs in Russia's Belgorod Oblast.

On Sunday, fuel reservoirs in Russia's Belgorod Oblast caught fire following a drone strike. This was confirmed by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on Telegram.

The incident took place in the Volokonovka district. It is believed to have been caused by an unmanned aerial vehicle deployed by Ukrainian forces.

"Several reservoirs caught fire after an explosion," Gladkov stated on Telegram.

Firefighters are currently working to extinguish the flames, with further details on the attack's aftermath still being confirmed.

Local residents, as reported by the Russian Telegram channel ASTRA, said the strike occurred in the village of Yutanovka, where railway tanks also caught fire. ASTRA shared photos and videos of the aftermath, showing large flames engulfing the fuel tanks.

Authorities are continuing to assess the damage as firefighting efforts proceed.
