The police in Ploiești in romania are conducting investigations at the Palace of Justice following a bomb threat reported to the emergency number 112.

Accordign to Ziare the call was received on Thursday, June 27, and bomb disposal experts are currently on site.

According to the Prahova County Police Inspectorate, officers were alerted via 112 that an explosive device was allegedly set to be placed at a public institution. The Special Actions Service of Prahova is currently conducting thorough checks at the scene.

Origin of the Threat

Sources close to the investigation told Ziare that an individual phoned 112 and reported overhearing a conversation in Russian at a bus station.

The conversation allegedly involved plans to plant an explosive device at the Palace of Justice in Ploiești, home to the Prahova Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.

Following the initial call, attempts to reach the informant were unsuccessful as they had reportedly powered off their phone.
