Dining at a bar or restaurant can turn into a noteworthy experience. While it's standard for the service to be cordial - a customer arrives, is served their meal, pays, and leaves - things don’t always run smoothly.
Be it due to dissatisfaction with the meal or the staff's service not meeting expectations, the relationship between diners and establishment staff can sour. This can lead to disputes within the restaurant or, in the era of social media, to negative reviews and comments that could impact the place’s reputation.
Thus, thousands of reviews from frustrated customers go viral almost daily on social networks. However, not all experiences have to end negatively. There are also those who end up very satisfied with both the service and the menu, using platforms like Google, Twitter, or TripAdvisor to express their gratitude and recommend the bar or restaurant in question to others.
This is exactly what happened with Erika, a woman who, along with a companion, visited a tapas bar in Torremolinos (Málaga).
Upon receiving the bill, they couldn't believe their eyes. As her gaze slowly moved down the bill, which included, as usual, everything they had ordered, the surprise awaited nearly at the end of the bill.

Many restaurants may apply discounts or promotions for being a member of a certain club, having a discount voucher, or for any other reason. However, this Málaga establishment, named 'tres 14 tapas & café', opts to deduct money from the final amount for reasons such as smiling, patience, generosity, kindness, and for recommending the restaurant to other potential customers.
While the discount is somewhat symbolic - a reduction of 1 cent for each of these mentioned gestures - such gestures are uncommon and well-received by the diners.
Erika indicated as much in her TripAdvisor review, where, in addition to giving 5 stars, she stated that "we will definitely return."
