Tony’s Chocolonely has issued a recall for two of its chocolate bar varieties in the U.S. and Canada due to contamination with small stones, according to a notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recall affects specific lot numbers of the Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt and Everything Bar flavors.

The decision to recall came after 12 consumer complaints were filed, reporting the presence of small stones in the chocolate.

Tony’s Chocolonely attributed the issue to a failure in filtering during third-party almond harvesting and processing.
