In Neuburg an der Donau two young men have been reported missing following a swimming accident in the Danube River, writes Tag24.
The incident occurred on Friday evening around 5:45 p.m. in Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district when a passerby spotted a young man in distress in the river.
The 23-year-old, who had managed to cling to a bush on the riverbank, was rescued by emergency personnel.
The man reported that he was swimming with two friends, who have since disappeared.

Despite an extensive search involving police, firefighters, and rescue teams, the two missing individuals have not been found.
The search operation included aerial surveillance by a helicopter to assist in locating the missing swimmers.
Authorities have deployed boats to comb the river and surrounding areas for any signs of the missing men. The search efforts continue as teams work to locate and rescue the two young men.
