Ukraine’s military continues to press its counteroffensive, dealing severe losses to Russian forces in the past week.
Oleksandr Pavliuk announced on the social media platform Telegram that Ukrainian forces destroyed 1,540 units of Russian military hardware and killed or wounded 8,660 Russian soldiers between September 29 and October 6.
Among the hardware losses, Russia saw the destruction of 50 tanks, 203 armored fighting vehicles, and 297 artillery systems.
Ukraine’s forces also took out 12 anti-aircraft guns, eight air defense systems, and 66 specialized equipment units, along with downing three missiles and 390 drones.
In addition, 511 vehicles were destroyed, further weakening Russia’s logistics and mobility on the battlefield.
These losses come as Ukraine intensifies its efforts to reclaim territory and halt Russian advances.
Since the start of Russia's large-scale invasion, Ukrainian forces have reportedly inflicted total estimated Russian combat losses of 660,470, according to Ukrinform.
