Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, shared on Telegram earlier this morning that all Russian missiles aimed at Kyiv have been destroyed.

"Another missile attack on Ukraine. The strike was combined. In particular, the enemy targeted Kyiv with missiles of various types. They were approaching the city from different directions. An air-raid warning in the capital was in effect for over 2 hours. Assets and personnel of the Air Force destroyed all enemy missiles flying toward Kyiv."

Further information regarding the number and types of missiles intercepted will be provided by the Air Force at a later time.

Fortunately, there were no reported casualties or damage in Kyiv following the attack.

"The city's vital infrastructure is operating as usual. We thank the air defence forces for their excellent work," Popko reported.

Context of the Attack

This missile barrage was part of a wider offensive launched from Tu-95MS bombers by Russia on the night of February 14-15.

Air defense units across various regions were active, with reports of explosions heard during the night.
