The parents of Luis Diaz, a Colombian footballer who plays as a forward for Liverpool, were kidnapped in Colombia.
While his mother, Cilenis Marulanda, has been rescued by the police, his father remains missing.

The incident occurred in the city of Barrancas in the northern department of La Guajira.
Colombia's President Gustavo Petro and the country's police director, General William Salamanca, have both commented on the situation.
The parents were abducted by gunmen on motorbikes as they were driving home. The Colombian football federation has expressed its concern and urged authorities to find Diaz's father.
Luis Diaz has yet to comment on the incident.
