A 12-year-old girl in England has been charged with manslaughter, and a 15-year-old boy faces a murder charge following the violent death of an 80-year-old pensioner in Leicester.
This was reported by Kurier.
The incident, which occurred in early September, has drawn a great deal of attention across the UK.
According to local news reports, the elderly victim was walking his dog in a park when he encountered the minors. Details of what transpired remain unclear, but the pensioner suffered injuries that led to his death in the hospital shortly after the incident.
Five minors were initially arrested in connection with the case.
Of these, the 15-year-old boy charged with murder is expected to appear in court later this week.
In England, the age of criminal responsibility begins at ten years old, meaning the accused minors can face legal consequences for their alleged actions.
