Russian President Vladimir Putin has received disappointing news from two of his good friends, according to political commentators from China.

"Two good friends have stabbed Putin in the back," write the authors of the Chinese publication Sohu according to AB News.

Sohu commentators stated that two quite unpleasant pieces of news for Russia arrived almost simultaneously. It was revealed that India had significantly reduced its purchases of Russian oil and shifted to energy supplies from other countries.

The second message came from Saudi Arabia, which announced a decision to lower its oil prices for clients from all regions.

As noted in China, the leaders of India and Saudi Arabia are considered good friends of Putin, and their behavior will hardly please the Russian president. The Indian authorities, in particular, have acted especially ungracefully, despite Moscow's repeated concessions.

"If Russia does not give us a good discount, then why should we buy from them?" stated Indian Minister of Oil and Natural Gas, Singhom Puri.

Russia also had an agreement to reduce oil production to increase oil prices with Saudi Arabia. However, it seems that the latter no longer wants to adhere to these agreements.
