From the onset of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, there has been ongoing speculation surrounding Vladimir Putin's health. Rumors of Parkinson's, cancer, and other severe illnesses have surfaced, with Putin also rumored to be dead on several occasions.

Kremlin has repeatedly refuted these claims, and now they appear to be doing so again, this time based on a health examination of Putin.

A Russian doctor has confidently claimed that the leader is in "excellent condition." This statement comes amidst widespread speculations that have dominated global media since late 2023.

According to Russian Ria Novosti, the health assessment was conducted during Putin's campaign visit to Anadyr, a city in Russia's Far East, on January 10. Putin, 71, who is campaigning for re-election, engaged with Chukotka locals alongside Denis Kloss, head of the trauma-orthopedic department at the district’s hospital.

During their meeting, Kloss inquired about Putin’s methods for maintaining his energy levels. Putin, as per Kloss, shared that his energy comes from sports, inspiration from Russian people like scientists, athletes, artists, and a love for his work. Kloss, providing his professional opinion to Ria Novosti, Russia's state-run news agency, emphasized Putin's rigorous physical regimen, including gym and swimming sessions lasting over two hours.

Whether the Russian doctor's statement on Putin's health is accurate cannot be confirmed.
