Zaporizhzhia region, once again, found itself under an intense bombardment as Russian forces launched 335 attacks within a mere 24 hours.

Remarkably, despite the severe intensity of the shelling, there were no casualties reported among the civilian population.

The attacks were detailed by Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, via a message on Telegram. Fedorov's update provided a grim overview of the situation:

"During the day, the occupiers attacked Zaporizhzhia region 335 times. 7 settlements were under enemy fire," he reported. Among the targeted areas were Huliaipole, Verkhnya Tersa, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Novoandriivka.

A Barrage from the Sky

The assaults included a significant use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), with 129 drone strikes focusing their wrath on the aforementioned settlements.

This modern method of warfare adds a layer of complexity and danger to the already tense situation on the ground.

In addition to drone attacks, conventional heavy weaponry was also employed.

"The enemy fired seven times at Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka from multiple rocket launchers," Fedorov noted.

Furthermore, artillery was extensively used, racking up another 199 attacks across various locations in the region.

Impact on the Ground

Despite the extensive military offensive, the resilience of the region's infrastructure and its people was evident.

There were nine reports of residential buildings being destroyed, yet, in a fortunate turn of events, no civilian injuries were reported.

This outcome highlights not only the random nature of such bombardments but also the preparedness and perhaps even luck of those in the affected areas.

This recent spate of attacks follows a disturbing trend of increasing violence in the area. Just the day prior, the region was subjected to an even more severe assault with 536 attacks recorded.
