In a recent statement, Anatoly Antonov, Russia's ambassador to Washington, has strongly denied claims made by FBI Director Christopher Wray about alleged Russian attempts to interfere in U.S. electoral processes.

Playing the Russia Card

According to Tass Antonov accused Wray of using these allegations as a diversion from his own agency's shortcomings.

"Director Wray is once again playing the 'Russia card' to cover up his own failures," Antonov said, according to a press release from the Russian embassy.

He criticized Wray's comments as part of a broader pattern of shifting blame and seeking to distract the American public from internal issues.

"It is clear that representatives of the administration want to deflect attention from their own mistakes and the deepening internal conflicts within America," Antonov added.

Find the Real Culprit

The ambassador emphasized Russia's stance on election integrity, firmly rejecting the insinuations that Russia has meddled in democratic processes.

"Our country has never interfered in democratic processes," Antonov declared. "Russia has always respected and will continue to respect the choices of the American people. This has been our stance in the past, and it will remain the same during the current presidential race."

Antonov also suggested that instead of pointing fingers at external actors, Wray should focus on introspection. "To find the real culprits behind America's problems, Director Wray should look in the mirror," he stated.
