On Monday, British Defence Intelligence released a couple of satellite images revealing the extent of damage caused by Ukraine’s strike on the Marinovka airfield in Russia’s Volgograd region.

The attack took place between August 21-22, 2024.

According to a report by United24 Media, the attack was a coordinated effort by Ukraine’s Security Service and Special Operations Forces.

The strike led to the destruction of four aircraft shelters, damage to three others, a destroyed radome, and large-scale damage to support buildings and open storage facilities, according to the UK Defence Intelligence report.

The Ukrainian forces targeted warehouses at the airfield storing guided aerial bombs and fuel.

This attack is part of Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to hit key Russian military targets.

Just days earlier, on August 18, Ukrainian Defense forces struck the "Kavkaz" plant in Russia’s Rostov region, resulting in a fire that lasted for 16 days.
