Brian Austin Green, who co-starred with Shannen Doherty in the iconic series 'Beverly Hills 90210,' has recently updated the public on Doherty's health condition.
Shannen Doherty, famed for her role in 'Beverly Hills 90210,' has been battling cancer on multiple fronts. In 2020, she revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that the disease had metastasized from her breast to her lymph nodes. Further tests conducted in January showed that the cancer had unfortunately spread to her brain.
Brian Austin Green, who shared the screen with Doherty in 'Beverly Hills 90210,' has now provided an update on her health.
"She's doing well. She's incredibly strong. If anyone can navigate through such adversity, it's her," he told E! News.
A zest for life
Between 2015 and 2017, Doherty fought the battle of her life, overcoming a cancer diagnosis and being declared cancer-free. However, in 2020, she had to face the harsh reality that the cancer had returned.
In an extensive interview with the American magazine Elle, she expressed her continued zest for life. "It seems like all stage 4 cancer patients face the notion that others want to 'put them out to pasture.' But I'm not ready for that. I still have a lot of life in me," Doherty stated at the time.
In 'Beverly Hills 90210,' Doherty portrayed the character Brenda Walsh, while Brian Austin Green played the role of David Silver.
