The White House has raised concerns about the declining ability of Ukraine to fend off Russian aggression due to a lack of funding from the United States.

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan emphasized the urgent need for Congress to approve the White House's request for assistance to Ukraine at a briefing, as reported by European Pravda.

The current situation is impacting the U.S.'s ability to provide necessary military support, threatening the consistency and effectiveness of aid to Ukraine.

The proposed $106 billion aid package includes over $61 billion to assist Ukraine, but faces delays as the new Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, calls for separate considerations of aid for Ukraine and Israel.

Additionally, a bill introduced to prevent a government shutdown notably excludes aid for Ukraine and Israel.

'The EU's top diplomat has also indicated that U.S. aid to Ukraine might decrease in the future, suggesting that EU countries should be prepared to continue their support independently.
