In a recent episode of The Voice Kids season 2, 11-year-old Mathieu from Liège, Belgium, stunned the audience and judges alike with his rendition of Celine Dion's "S'il suffisait d'aimer."
The young talent not only showcased his vocal prowess but also touched hearts with the emotion he poured into the performance.
A young chef with a passion for music
Mathieu is not just a budding singer; he's also an aspiring chef. His culinary journey began during a hotel stay where he was invited to visit the kitchen by the head chef. From that moment, he knew he wanted to be a chef.
His favorite dishes to prepare are lasagna and fraisier cake. However, music holds an equally significant place in his life. He has been singing since he was a child and even used to sing lullabies to his younger brother.
Mathieu's performance was so compelling that it won over Alice on the Roof, one of the show's new coaches. Alice was quick to compliment Mathieu, saying,
"You put a lot of sincerity into what you just did. You managed to convey emotion and sang accurately. You did everything needed to succeed in this audition." Mathieu will now continue his journey on the show as part of Team Alice.
