The Russian military is struggling to provide proper medical care to its soldiers, and this issue is expected to worsen as winter sets in.

A report from the UK Ministry of Defense, shared on X (formerly Twitter), revealed ongoing issues with medical care in the Russian military.

On November 14, independent Russian outlet Astra News reported that dozens of injured Russian soldiers in Novosibirsk staged a protest over poor medical treatment.

These soldiers, part of the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District, reportedly complained about mistreatment by their commander and refused to return to the battlefield without adequate medical support. During the protest, some property, including windows and barracks, was damaged, and ten soldiers left the area entirely.

The UK report pointed out that logistical issues, such as a shortage of armored vehicles and the threat of drones, are severely delaying the evacuation of injured troops.

"These delays almost certainly lead to more severe injuries and higher death rates among those eventually evacuated," the report stated.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to November 26, 2024, Russian combat losses are estimated at around 733,830 personnel, including 1,480 in the past day alone.

Equipment losses over the same period include 9,435 tanks, 19,256 armored vehicles, 20,806 artillery systems, and 19,552 tactical drones.
