At least six civilians were killed and 22 others injured in Russian attacks across multiple regions of Ukraine over the past 24 hours, regional officials reported on March 10.
Ukraine’s Air Force said it intercepted 130 out of 176 drones launched by Russia overnight, the majority being Shahed-type attack drones. An additional 42 drones disappeared from radars, likely acting as decoys to overwhelm Ukraine’s air defense systems.
The wave of attacks was repelled with a coordinated effort from anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, fighter aviation, and mobile fire groups, according to the military.
This was reported by the Kyiv Independent.
The Donetsk region saw the highest death toll, with three civilians killed — two in Pokrovsk and one in Zoria, said Governor Vadym Filashkin.
Another six people were injured.
In Kharkiv Oblast, a Russian drone dropped an explosive device, killing three civilians — a woman and two men. A second woman was injured in the same attack, Governor Oleh Syniehubov reported on Telegram.
Civilian Injuries Reported in Several Oblasts
In Kherson Oblast, nine people were injured, according to Governor Oleksandr Prokudin.
In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a 56-year-old woman was hospitalized in moderate condition, while an 18-year-old girl received on-site treatment, Governor Serhii Lysak said.
In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a 16-year-old boy and two men (aged 65 and 67) were wounded, and a 79-year-old woman was also injured during an artillery strike, according to Governor Ivan Fedorov.
Despite a high interception rate, the volume and frequency of attacks continue to place civilians at risk.
