In recent days, Ukrainian forces have targeted North Korean troops in the Kursk region, which is part of Russia.
Ukrainian special forces used kamikaze drones to strike the enemy, causing significant losses, reports Digi24.
The Ukrainian military claims that 50 North Korean soldiers were killed and 47 more were injured in just three days of fighting.
A video released by the Ukrainian military shows images captured by FPV (first-person view) drones.
These drones attack soldiers and military vehicles. The footage, which lasts about a minute, shows the destruction caused by these drone strikes.
The Ukrainian 8th Special Forces Regiment, known as "Prince Iziaslav Mstislavich," was responsible for the attacks.
A post on the unit’s Facebook page said that they gave North Korean troops a "warm welcome" in the region.
The drone strikes also hit several vehicles. Two armored vehicles, two cars, and a 4x4 vehicle were reportedly destroyed.
Some of the images show troops being attacked in a snow-covered field. These images were similar to those shared last week about the first attack on North Korean forces, which was mocked by pro-Ukrainian online users.
According to a senior US military official, North Korea has suffered several hundred casualties in the Kursk region.
These casualties include both minor injuries and deaths. North Korean troops have been sent to support Russia’s war efforts.
They have been stationed in the Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces gained ground earlier this year.
The US official said the latest estimate of North Korean casualties ranges from injuries to those killed in action.
It is believed that thousands of North Korean soldiers are now fighting alongside Russian troops in the region.
