Ukraine’s military intelligence agency (HUR) announced the destruction of three high-value Russian radar systems in Russian-occupied Crimea on November 29, reports the Kyiv Independent.
The targeted systems included two 48Y6-K1 Podlet radars, each worth approximately $5 million, and one Kasta-2E2 radar, valued at around $30 million.
Both types are modern mobile radars capable of detecting low-altitude air targets.
This operation follows a similar strike reported by HUR on November 28, which also targeted a Podlet radar system in Crimea.
While HUR claimed responsibility for these actions, specific details of the operations were not disclosed.
The Kyiv Independent was unable to independently verify these claims.
The strikes coincide with a series of explosions reported across Crimea in recent days.
Russian proxies in the region claimed to have intercepted Ukrainian missiles and drones, though these assertions remain unverified.
Throughout the full-scale war, Ukraine has frequently targeted Russian military and industrial assets in occupied Crimea, including Sevastopol.
Such actions highlight Ukraine's ongoing efforts to challenge Russia’s military presence in the strategically significant peninsula.
Russia has occupied Crimea since 2014, an act that marked the start of its broader aggression against Ukraine.
The recent radar strikes further underscore Ukraine's determination to disrupt Russian operations and reclaim its territory.
