The Zaporizhzhia Region Patrol Police have released gripping body camera footage showing first responders in action after a deadly Russian airstrike on January 8.

The attack claimed 13 lives and injured 123, leaving a trail of devastation across the city.

The footage, shared by Oleksii Biloshytskyi, First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department, shows officers providing urgent aid to the wounded amid the chaos.

In the video, officers can be seen applying tourniquets, bandaging injuries, and evacuating civilians to safer areas as the risk of repeat strikes loomed.

“Our patrol officers immediately provided first aid to the injured, evacuated citizens to safety, and ensured that traffic was blocked to protect lives,” Biloshytskyi stated.

He added that police played a crucial role in transporting the injured to local hospitals, working under the constant threat of further attacks.

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, condemned the attack, calling it a clear war crime. “The shelling of civilians is a heinous violation of international law, and those responsible must face justice in international courts,” Lubinets emphasized.

The January 8 airstrike targeted an industrial site in Zaporizhzhia, with Russian forces reportedly using guided aerial bombs. The attack not only claimed lives but also left significant damage to the area, heightening fears of ongoing assaults on civilian infrastructure.

The Zaporizhzhia strike has drawn international condemnation, with Ukraine urging the global community to hold Russia accountable for its actions.
