Ukrainian drones struck an ammunition factory in central Russia overnight, targeting the Aleksinski Chemical Plant in Tula, roughly 200 kilometers south of Moscow.

Produced Ammonution and Weapons

This attack is part of Ukraine’s broader strategy to target facilities supporting Moscow’s war effort, a source within Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) told Reuters according to Digi24

The Aleksinski plant is known for producing gunpowder, ammunition, and weapons, according to the SBU source, who declined to estimate the damage.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported intercepting 50 Ukrainian drones across seven regions overnight.

Continued Drone Strikes

They intercepted 28 drones downed in Bryansk, 12 in Kursk, four in Novgorod, two in Smolensk, two in Tula, and one each in the regions of Oryol and Tver.

However, local media in Tula indicated that residents in Aleksinski counted at least 11 drones in the area.

With the conflict nearing the 1,000-day mark, Ukraine faces significant pressure on the battlefield as Russian forces advance steadily in eastern Donetsk.

Ukrainian troops have reported heavy fighting, with over 170 clashes in the past 24 hours alone, as Russia uses guided bombs and artillery to break through Ukrainian defenses.

Ukrainian officials believe that continued drone strikes on Russian military sites and supply hubs will disrupt Moscow’s logistics, potentially shifting the war’s momentum in Ukraine’s favor.

Since September, Ukraine has increasingly used long-range drones against Russian ammunition depots.
