The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall on Brooke model wood dining chairs due to the risk of breaking or collapsing.

As compensation, buyers of the faulty chairs can have them repaired by Grand Rapids Chair Company free of charge.

Recall Details

This recall affects Brooke model wood dining chairs, including those with partially or fully upholstered seats and backs. The specific model numbers are W520, W520-11, W520-21, W520-31, and W520-33. You can find these numbers on your original order confirmation or invoice.

There have been three reports of these chairs breaking, though no injuries have been reported.

According to the CPSC, about 5,670 chairs are affected. These were sold between January 2020 and June 2024 by the Grand Rapids Chair Company, Byron Center, Michigan.

The chairs were made to order through special orders and were priced between $450 and $1,015.
