British actress Haydn Gwynne, best known for her roles in "The Crown" and "The Windsors," has passed away at the age of 66 after a recent diagnosis of cancer.

The news was confirmed by her agent in a statement to the BBC, saying,

"It is with great sadness that we can share with you that the star—on both stage and screen—Haydn Gwynne passed away in the hospital on October 20 due to her recent cancer diagnosis. She was surrounded by her beloved sons, close family, and friends."

Gwynne's agent also thanked the staff and team at the Royal Marsden and Brompton hospitals for their excellent care over the past few weeks.

Haydn Gwynne began her television career in the 1980s, appearing in several British series such as "Peak Practice," "Merseybeat," and "Rome."

She gained widespread recognition for her role as Camilla, the wife of Prince Charles, in the comedy series "The Windsors."

Additionally, she played one of Queen Elizabeth's ladies-in-waiting, Susan Hussey, in the critically acclaimed series "The Crown." Gwynne also had a notable career in theater.

The actress's death has left the entertainment industry in mourning, as she was a respected figure both on stage and screen.
