Ukraine's Foreign Minister confirms a major piece of good news for the country's forces. Intense fighting continues in the southern and eastern parts of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian counteroffensive is ongoing, while Russia has launched offensives in various locations, including around Avdiivka. This week, it has been confirmed that Ukraine has received ATACMS missiles from the United States.

Another massive announcement for Ukraine has been made, explains the country's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. On a regular basis, Kuleba confirmed on Thursday that Ukraine will "regularly" receive ATACMS missiles.

This could mean a significant change on the battlefield. "And this is a direct result of the agreement between President Zelensky and President Biden, which was reached during a personal meeting in Washington at the end of September," says Kuleba to Reuters.

"A new chapter in the war"

It is still unclear exactly how many ATACMS missiles Ukraine has at its disposal, but it is clear that it is a huge asset for Ukraine's military capacity. President Zelensky's advisor Mykhailo Podolyak believes that this means a new chapter in the war.

"A new chapter in this war has unofficially begun," he explains according to The Guardian.

"There are no longer any safe places for Russian troops within Ukraine's internationally recognized borders. This means that there is no possibility of maintaining the South, Crimea, and Black Sea Fleet in the medium term."

This week, Ukraine has managed to destroy nine Russian helicopters at a military base, but it is not clear whether ATACMS missiles were used on that occasion. Without disclosing when they have been used,

President Volodymyr Zelensky says he is satisfied with the weapon. "They have performed very accurately. ATACMS has proven itself," says Zelensky according to BBC.
