The FDA has placed Negasmart, the cinnamon distributor, on import alerts to stop potentially harmful products from entering the U.S. Austrofood S.A.S., the manufacturer of the recalled pouches, is also on Import Alert 99-42.
These measures will ensure that any future import attempts are flagged before reaching consumers.
