Kyrylo Budanov, the Head of Ukraine's Defence Intelligence, has made a startling revelation that could have far-reaching implications.
According to Budanov, Russia has been supplying Hamas with infantry weapons that were seized in Ukraine. This comes at a time when the world is closely watching the escalating tensions in Israel and its surrounding regions.
Budanov disclosed that Russia didn't just stop at supplying weapons to Hamas; they also trained the militants in the use of FPV-drones against armored equipment.
"The expertise required for this could only have come from those familiar with our theatre of war," Budanov stated to Ukrainian Pravda, implying Russian involvement.
More than just weapons
The Ukrainian intelligence chief also pointed out that a Russian radio station, Sputnik, began broadcasting in Arabic in Lebanon a week before combat actions commenced in Israel.
This station is known for its propagandistic style, reinforcing Russian narratives. Additionally, a Russian spacecraft capable of electronic warfare was transferred to Israel's geostationary orbit in late September.
Budanov warned that the world is inching closer to a "global war," as these conflicts are interconnected by the involvement of the same countries. He believes that if the conflict in Israel continues for an extended period, it could impact military aid for Ukraine and other nations.
