The iconic home featured in the cult horror film "Poltergeist" is now on the market for €1.1 million (approximately $1.2 million).

First time since it was build

The 2,260-square-foot property, located in Simi Valley, California, just north of Malibu, includes four bedrooms and three bathrooms. This is the first time the house has been up for sale since its construction in 1979, according to Ziare.

The listing, which appeared on Zillow.com, assures potential buyers that the house is free of any ghostly presences. According to the real estate advertisement,

“The original owners loved this house,” providing some reassurance to those who would fear its horror film legacy.

Other Famouses Houses for Sale

"Poltergeist," produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Tobe Hooper, is a chilling tale of a family whose home is invaded by malevolent spirits.

The success of the film led to two sequels, cementing its status in horror cinema.

In recent years, other famous horror homes have also attracted buyers.

In 2022, the house featured in the 1985 classic "A Nightmare on Elm Street," which introduced Freddy Krueger, was sold for $2.98 million.

Additionally, last May, the home from "Home Alone 2," located in Chicago and boasting 9,000 square feet, sold for €4.8 million (approximately $5.3 million).
