When Emily Benschoter from Georgia was told by her bosses to change her pink hair if she wanted to keep her job, she took matters into her own hands in a way they didn't expect.
Emily, who was working as a receptionist in the hospitality industry, was told that her pink hair was unacceptable.
She found this decision "dehumanizing" and "superficial."
"I'm an expressive person, and I feel more confident with pink hair. So, I came up with a solution to keep both my job and my hair color," Emily said.
She believes that not being accepted for her unconventional hair color is dehumanizing and superficial, especially when it poses no hindrance to her work.
Emily's solution has left millions of TikTok users in stitches.
She has started showing up at work wearing outrageous wigs, each one crazier than the last. "The worse the wig, the better," she says.

Unfortunately, the Equality Act 2010 in the UK does not cover hair color, giving employers the legal upper hand.
However, Emily's hilarious approach to the situation is something we can all get behind.
