Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has issued a vehement response against Russia following the arrest of a Russian couple.

Deserves Only Contempt

According to Digi24 the couple was accused of spying on the Australian military. .

Albanese declared that Putin's country deserves only contempt. She was also urging Russia to cease its activities in Ukraine and refrain from interfering in sovereign nations' affairs.

The furious reaction came after Australian authorities apprehended the couple for allegedly passing military information to Moscow.

Leave Us Alone!

The Couple had been residing in Australia for a decade, and Albanese emphasized Australia's stance, stating:

"Russia needs to understand the message - leave us alone! Russia spies here and elsewhere in the world. Russia has no credibility. The message to Russia is: how about withdrawing from Ukraine and stopping the illegal and immoral war you are conducting? And what if you stop meddling in the internal affairs of other sovereign nations? We are talking about a country that has no respect for international laws and deserves to be treated with contempt, which is how I feel about them."

Australia, a NATO partner, has supported Ukraine with armored vehicles, weapons, and ammunition valued at $900 million. This support underscores Australia's commitment to international security and its stance against Russian aggression in Ukraine.
