Russian Bombardment of Ukrainian Cities Claims Lives

In a massive overnight assault, Russian drone and missile strikes have left two dead and 28 injured.

A large-scale Russian drone and missile assault on Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, and the Kherson region has resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to at least 28 others, including children, causing widespread destruction and damage to multiple residential buildings.

In Kyiv, drone strikes sparked fires and caused injuries, with debris falling in the Solomianskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko on October 29.

The attacks led to fires in residential areas, damaging several vehicles and a commercial building.

“Six people were injured in the attack, with fires affecting homes, cars, and a commercial building,” Klitschko reported on Telegram.

In Kryvyi Rih, emergency response teams concluded rescue operations after a missile strike that killed one person and injured 14.

More than 10 buildings and 12 garages sustained damage, as noted in an October 29 report from Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES).

In Antonivka, Kherson region, Russian drones targeted both local residents and emergency responders, Kherson officials reported on October 28.

A 64-year-old doctor from an ambulance crew was killed in the attack, while two men, both aged 52, and a paramedic were seriously injured and are currently in intensive care.

In a separate incident, a 52-year-old woman sustained blast injuries and is undergoing further evaluation.

In Stanislav, also in the Kherson region, a Russian strike on residential buildings injured two adults and two children, according to the Kherson governor on October 29.

An 8-year-old and a 14-year-old suffered head injuries and other wounds, with doctors describing their conditions as moderately severe.

A 44-year-old woman was diagnosed with a concussion, a shoulder dislocation, and leg injuries, while a 51-year-old man suffered blast injuries and a concussion.

Earlier, Russian forces targeted downtown Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs, striking a historical administrative building known as “Derzhprom” and a medical facility.
