In Hirnyk, Donetsk region, police evacuated two families with a total of six children amid a dangerous situation involving an enemy drone. According to Ukrinform, Donetsk police detailed the rescue operation on Telegram, sharing a video of the evacuation.
The police successfully removed two families from the front line. One family included a four-year-old girl named Violetta and her mother, while the other consisted of a larger family with five children—four girls and a two-year-old boy.
Drones a constant threat during evacuation
During the evacuation, an enemy drone hovered menacingly over the vehicles, posing an imminent threat of attack.
The police quickly responded by placing the families in an armored vehicle to ensure their safety and promptly departed from the hazardous area.
The families managed to bring their puppies with them during the evacuation.
The children and their parents are now safe, as confirmed by law enforcement officers.
The Donetsk region, with a front line stretching approximately 300 kilometers, remains highly contested, particularly the Pokrovsky direction, which is currently the most volatile.
Mandatory evacuations are ongoing in the region, with a forced evacuation order for children accompanied by their parents or guardians in several districts.
Approximately 376,000 civilians still reside in Donetsk region, highlighting the urgency of these evacuation efforts.
