In a recent statement, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov highlighted Russia's unwavering commitment to achieving its strategic goals, emphasizing that while the country is prepared to use military means, it remains open to peaceful negotiations.

Conflict Started From Security Concerns

Speaking from Solnechnogorsk, Peskov reiterated that Russia has always been open to a diplomatic solution regarding the conflict in Ukraine, according to Tass.

"Our primary objectives are to secure our national interests and ensure the safety of our people and future generations," Peskov stated. He further elaborated that the ongoing special military operation (SVO) was initiated only after Russia's security concerns and appeals were decisively ignored.

This military action, Peskov insisted, is a last resort measure to safeguard Russia's security.

Importantly, Peskov underscored that all wars ultimately conclude with peace negotiations. '

He affirmed that Russia sees no alternative but to accomplish its goals, whether through continued military operations or through a negotiated settlement.

"We will achieve all our objectives, be it through the SVO or peaceful talks," Peskov concluded.
