Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of former U.S. President Donald Trump, criticized the Biden administration’s decision to allow Ukraine to use U.S.-supplied long-range missiles against targets deep within Russia.

In a Twitter post, Trump Jr. accused the White House of risking global escalation, according to Ziare.

“The military-industrial complex seems determined to start World War III before my father can make peace and save lives. We must secure the billions of dollars. Lives don’t matter! Idiots!” he wrote.

The Biden administration recently approved the use of Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) by Ukraine.

Already Integrated

These long-range missiles, launched from HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems), allow Ukraine to strike targets up to 300 kilometers (190 miles) away.

Unlike shorter-range munitions previously supplied to Ukraine, the ATACMS missiles feature a 500-pound unitary warhead, making them highly effective against command centers, supply depots, and airfields.

Ukraine has already integrated HIMARS into its military operations, using them to significant effect against Russian positions. These mobile systems, mounted on truck platforms, are known for their precision and adaptability.

With the addition of ATACMS missiles, Ukraine gains the ability to strike logistical hubs and military infrastructure deep in Russian territory, including areas like Kursk, which host key supply lines.

Russia has strongly condemned the decision. Senior Russian lawmakers warned on November 17 that this move could escalate the conflict into World War III.

President Vladimir Putin previously stated that allowing Ukraine to strike Russian territory with Western-made missiles would fundamentally alter the scale and nature of the war.

The Biden administration maintains that these weapons are crucial for Ukraine’s self-defense. Analysts argue that long-range strike capabilities could disrupt Russian logistics and increase Ukraine’s leverage in potential peace talks.
