On Wednesday, Ukrainian authorities reported attacks against key Russian military targets. One of these attacks was on an important Russian airbase, reports Digi24.
Ukrainian forces also targeted a port on the Black Sea used by Russian missile-equipped ships. These ships have been involved in ongoing attacks on Ukrainian territory.
Andriy Kovalenko, the head of Ukraine's Anti-Disinformation Center, shared details of the strikes on his Telegram channel.
He confirmed the attack on the Diaghilevo airbase in the Reazan region, located less than 200 kilometers from Moscow.
Kovalenko also mentioned the attack on the port of Novorossiysk, which hosts Russian missile-carrying ships responsible for bombings on Ukraine.
Ukraine regularly carries out attacks on military targets, including airfields, using long-range drones produced domestically.
Recently, Ukraine has also gained approval from the United States, the United Kingdom, and France to strike Russian territory with ballistic missiles provided by these countries.
With this permission, Ukraine has already used American ATACMS missiles and British Storm Shadow missiles in strikes on Russian regions, including Kursk and Briansk.
This news comes as tensions remain high in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Ukraine's continued ability to carry out long-range attacks demonstrates its efforts to strike at Russian military capabilities, even deep within Russian territory.
The ongoing use of drones and ballistic missiles has shifted the nature of the conflict, with both sides targeting key infrastructure and military assets to weaken the other's capabilities.
The attacks have raised concerns about the escalation of the war and the potential for more widespread violence.
As Ukraine continues to use advanced weaponry and support from Western allies, the conflict shows no signs of easing.
Each new strike against Russian targets adds pressure on both sides, increasing the complexity of the ongoing war.
