War Escalates in Zaporizhia

The number of people injured in yesterday's missile strike on Zaporizhia has increased to 54.

The number of injured from a recent missile strike on Zaporizhia has climbed to 54, according to Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration (OVA).

Fedorov shared the update via Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

"One person was killed, and 54 others were injured as a result of an enemy attack on Zaporizhia," Fedorov stated.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have launched 405 strikes on seven settlements within the Zaporizhia region, targeting both civilians and infrastructure.

According to Fedorov:

  • Air Strikes: Two airstrikes hit Novodarivka.

  • Drone Attacks: 226 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of various types targeted Kamianske, Hulyaipole, Shcherbaki, Novodanylivka, Malaya Tokmachka, Novodarivka, and Charivne.

  • MLRS Attacks: 13 multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS) strikes were directed at Kamianske, Hulyaipole, Novodanylivka, Shcherbaki, and Novodarivka.

  • Artillery Shelling: 164 artillery rounds struck Kamianske, Hulyaipole, Shcherbaki, Novodanylivka, Malaya Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka.

Authorities have received 733 reports of destroyed residential buildings and infrastructure facilities as a result of the attacks.

Earlier on January 23, it was reported that 52 people had been injured in the strike, with one fatality confirmed. The latest update reflects the rising toll of casualties as authorities assess the full impact of the attack.
