A woman sustained injuries during a Russian drone attack on Kyiv in the early hours of January 3, according to Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, as reported by Ukrinform.
The air raid alert began at 4 a.m. and lasted for more than three hours. Defense forces successfully intercepted most of the Russian UAVs before they could reach Kyiv. However, fragments from the downed drones fell in the city’s Holosiivskyi and Darnytskyi districts.
Despite the attack, no significant structural damage was reported.
"A young woman suffered a burn on her hand but declined hospitalization," Tkachenko said.
This attack comes as part of a broader wave of strikes on the region. Earlier on January 3, a truck driver was killed and four others were injured in a drone assault in the Kyiv region, Ukrinform reported.
