A new series of explosions hit Lebanon on Wednesday, following the deadly attacks on Tuesday that left at least 12 dead and 2,800 injured, writes El Economista.
The attacks, reportedly aimed at weakening Hezbollah, have been attributed to Israel.
According to local media, Wednesday's blasts resulted in at least three deaths and numerous injuries.
This time, walkie-talkies—communication devices often used by Hezbollah to avoid Israeli surveillance—were reportedly detonated.
However, witnesses and social media posts suggest that the explosions also targeted other electronic devices, such as laptops, radios, and smartphones.
These explosions triggered several fires, leading to a significant deployment of ambulances to assist the wounded.
The explosions occurred in various locations across southern Lebanon and in the suburbs of Beirut.
These areas had already been hit in Tuesday’s initial wave of attacks, which were reportedly caused by the detonation of paging devices.
The situation remains tense, with ongoing concerns about further violence in the region.
