Irene, a 60-years-old woman, lost her beloved husband many years ago.
Since then, she has been living on the streets, as she hasn't had the finances to make ends meet.
She survives each day by finding items that can be recycled, which she then sells to afford food.
She sleeps in front of an apartment complex, but one day, one of the residents stopped when he came across Irene.
That was the beginning of an incredibly heartwarming story.
"It's unreasonable that she, being a 60-year-old mother and grandmother, sleeps on the ground," said the resident, Elvis according to Nyheder24.dk
After talking to Irene, the younger man decided that he would build her a small home, so she wouldn't have to sleep on the street every night.
By spending just around $500 Elvis built a small wooden house for Irene, so she can feel warm and safe at night.
Five days after he started the project, he could show Irene the result and Irene was extremely grateful for the kind gesture:
"It felt amazing. I felt so relaxed. I think I slept half the day," Irene said about her first night in her new home.
