The United States has played a major role in supporting Ukraine. But now, after a heated meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky, Russian officials are reacting with insults and threats.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, took to Telegram to mock Zelensky.

He called him a “cocaine clown” and said Trump had finally told him the truth, according to Hotnews. Medvedev claimed Ukraine was dragging the world toward war.

He also demanded that military aid to Kyiv be cut off immediately.

Other Russian figures joined in. State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov spoke to Russia Today. He said Zelensky’s political career was coming to an end.

He criticized the Ukrainian leader for his comments during the meeting and called his actions “unbelievable.”

Propagandist Vladimir Solovyov also commented. He wrote a short message predicting the fall of Zelensky and the Ukrainian government.

Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for Russia’s Foreign Ministry, posted a selfie with a cryptic message. She hinted that major events would unfold in the spring.

Russia Today, a Kremlin-controlled media outlet, covered the meeting with a mocking tone.

It claimed Zelensky left the White House in a hurry. The report suggested that Trump had dismissed him without a second thought.

Zelensky had arrived in Washington hoping for continued U.S. support. Instead, the meeting with Trump and Vice President JD Vance turned hostile.

Trump accused him of being ungrateful. Vance warned that the U.S. could withdraw its support if Ukraine refused to negotiate peace.

Zelensky pushed back. He reminded them that Vladimir Putin had broken promises many times before.

He urged the U.S. not to trust a leader who had shown no willingness to end the war fairly.

The tension between the two leaders was clear. A planned press conference was canceled.

An agreement on Ukrainian mineral resources was also left unsigned.

The meeting ended with no clear resolution, adding more uncertainty to Ukraine’s future.
