One of these drone attacks hit an electronics factory in the region of Kursk, causing a fire to erupt. No deaths or injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

Drones Shot Down

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that numerous Ukrainian drones were shot down over western Russia and the Crimean peninsula.

"Last night ... the active air defense systems destroyed and intercepted 22 drones," the ministry said on Telegram.

Specifically, 15 drones were shot down over the Bryansk region, six over Crimea, and one over the Lipetsk region.

In the Russian region of Kursk, a Ukrainian drone attack caused a fire in a factory that produces electrical equipment and components.

"None of the workers were injured," said Governor Alexei Smirnov on Telegram. The governor also mentioned that three more drones were shot down in the region bordering Ukraine.

Since the start of the Russian offensive in February 2022, both Russia and Ukraine have regularly used drones in their mutual attacks.

Recently, Ukraine has intensified its attacks on Russian territory, targeting Russia's energy infrastructure as well as towns and villages in the border area.
