Major General Apty Alaudinov, has asserted that the Special Military Operation (SMO), as Russia calls the war in ukraine, will conclude by the end of 2024.
Relying on God
The deputy Chief of the Main Military-Political Administration of the Russian Armed Forces and Commander of the "Akhmat" Special Forces is citing strong grounds for this forecast, according to Tass.
In an interview on Channel One, Alaudinov expressed confidence in the wars impending completion this year.
He pointed to his faith and interpretations of sacred scripture, as his reason for this belief.
"Trump, Zelensky, and others like them come and go, but for the most part, we rely on God," he stated emphatically.
Focus on Holy Scripture
In the same interview he also stated:
"I will say this: I said that the SVO will end this year. I am more than sure that the SVO will end this year. I repeat myself once again. Maybe someone will think: why is he speaking so confidently? I think I have all the prerequisites for this, I focus more on the Holy Scripture, so my confidence comes directly from this."
Alaudinov also suggested that Kiev now understands that "the war has already been lost."
"We see that on the front line, the Azov members are killing unarmed men who are ready to surrender," emphasized the Major General.
