Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and owner of the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has made a rather unconventional proposal to Wikipedia.
He's willing to donate a staggering $1 billion, but there's a condition attached.
A generous offer with a twist
Musk took to his social media account to announce his willingness to make a hefty donation to the online encyclopedia.
However, he added a unique stipulation: "I will give them a billion dollars if they change their name," wrote Musk,

Musk clarified his condition, stating that Wikipedia would have to change its name to "Dickipedia" to receive the donation.

Journalist Ed Krassenstein encouraged the organization to consider the offer, to which Musk responded, "One year minimum. I mean, I'm not a fool lol."
This offer comes after Musk criticized the Wikimedia Foundation for their fundraising efforts. He questioned the necessity of such large sums of money, given that Wikipedia's text could fit on a phone.
The Wikimedia Foundation responded by citing their operational costs, including handling over 25 billion page views and 44 million page edits per month.
