The flare fire that broke out last Thursday at the oil terminal in Feodosia, Crimea, has been extinguished, according to Igor Tkachenko, the city's head of administration.

"As of 8 a.m., there is no longer any flare burning at the oil terminal. The situation has stabilized and is completely under control," Tkachenko announced via his Telegram channel on Friday.

He also stated that efforts to address the aftermath of the fire are ongoing, with Rospotrebnadzor continuously monitoring air quality in the affected area.

"As of 6 a.m. today, no exceedances of maximum permissible concentrations have been detected," Tkachenko clarified.

On Thursday evening, Sergei Aksenov, the head of Crimea, reported that a spill of flammable materials had occurred at one of the oil terminal's depots in Feodosia.

Despite this, the evacuation zone was not expanded.

The fire at the oil depot began on the morning of October 7, and no casualties were reported. Traffic restrictions remain in place along sections of the Kerch Highway, Geologicheskaya Street, and Fedko Street, which border the facility. A municipal emergency was declared, and over a thousand residents of nearby homes have been evacuated.
