DSD Merchandisers, LLC has announced a voluntary recall of its Deluxe Roasted & Salted Mixed Nuts (UPC 6-51433-99651-6) with a sell-by date of October 9, 2024.

The recall is due to the presence of undeclared peanuts, posing a serious risk to individuals with peanut allergies.

Recall Details:

The recalled product was sold to Farm Fresh to You, which distributes it through e-commerce channels to subscribers in California and Nevada.

It also reaches Full Circle subscribers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. Consumers received the product via mail.

The mixed nuts are packaged in clear plastic tubs containing 5 ounces, with the label "Deluxe Roasted & Salted Mixed Nuts" on the top.

The product consists of various tree nuts, including cashews, almonds, hazelnuts, pecan halves, macadamia nuts, and the undeclared peanut.

Incident and Investigation:

The recall was triggered by a consumer report to DSD Merchandisers, LLC.

The consumer, after noticing peanuts in the product, realized the label lacked a proper declaration of peanuts in the ingredient and allergen statements, only mentioning that the product was packed on equipment handling peanuts. An internal investigation revealed a temporary breakdown in the company's formulation and packaging label change processes.
