At least 11 people were injured, including two young children, in a Russian airstrike on the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson on October 7, according to local authorities.

The attack occurred around 10:40 a.m. when two KAB bombs were dropped in the coastal area of the central district, followed by two more in the northern part of the city.

Initially, eight people were reported injured, including two children aged three and five.

Later in the day, Kherson's military administration head, Roman Mrochko, confirmed three additional injuries. Two women arrived at the hospital on their own, while a third was taken by ambulance.

The regional prosecutor's office reported that at least six multi-story buildings were damaged by the blast waves from the bombs.

Kherson has been regularly targeted by Russian forces since its liberation by Ukraine in November 2022.

The city, located on the western bank of the Dnipro River, has been a focal point of continued attacks as Russian troops maintain positions across the river.

The same morning, Russian forces launched two Kinzhal missiles aimed at Kyiv Oblast, both of which were successfully intercepted by Ukraine's air defenses.

While the debris damaged several buildings and cars, no casualties were reported in Kyiv.
